Mission
To prepare students to gain entry-level employment in high-skill, high-wage jobs and/or to continue their education in their chosen career field.

CTE Goals

  • Strengthen the academic and career and technical skills through the integration of academics with CTE.
  • Link the secondary and post-secondary CTE programs through Dual and Articulation agreements.
  • Increase the number of work-based learning experiences for students to introduce them to all aspects of an industry
  • Expand the use of technology
  • Initiate, improve, expand and modernize CTE
  • Establish business relationships
  • Provide programs for special population students
  • Develop Staff Development plans for all CTE Staff.

 

Career Pathways

 

Careers in designing, planning, managing, building and maintaining the built environment.

 

Designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, and publishing including visual and performing arts and design, journalism, and entertainment services.

 

 

Encompass planning, organizing, directing and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations. Business career opportunities are available in every sector of the economy.

 

This field involves information technology, including implementing computer systems and software, providing technical assistance, and managing information systems.

 

 

This field involves goods and services which sold to businesses or individuals such as: Exhibit designers, designing new products, marketing plans & operations, getting products to customers or even “e-sales.”

 

Encompasses the management, marketing and operations of restaurants, lodging, attractions, recreation events and travel services.

Planning, managing, and performing the processing of materials into intermediate or final products and activities.
