About Frank T. Davalos, Jr.

    Committees: Serves as Vice Chairman of the Laguna Madre Youth Center. President of the Laguna Vista Friends of the Library, Served six years as Town Council for the Town of Laguna Vista, served on the Town of Laguna Vista Planning & Zoning Board, served as a Member of the Community Development Corporation. Appointed and served on the PIISD -DEIC, served on the Resolutions Committee for the Texas Municipal League. 

    Frank is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and moved to Port Isabel when he was 11 years old. Frank attended Port Isabel Jr. High, Port Isabel High School, and graduated from Port Isabel High School in 2002. 

    For the past 20 years, Frank has progressively advanced his career in the field of business. At the same time, he has extensively volunteered in his community and currently holds a seat on the Laguna Madre Youth Center and Laguna Vista Friends of the Library. 

    Frank’s vision for the Point Isabel Independent School District includes greater public accountability and transparency, fiscally conservative budget approaches, and delivering more alternative education choices for students. He strongly believes in high academic standards and school accountability. Frank will work hard to ensure that PIISD continues to improve student outcomes and that every dollar benefits children’s education. He will make certain that student achievement remains the highest priority by working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and staff. 

    As your school board member, he will work diligently to make sure that all students receive the academic skills and training necessary to prepare them for today’s competitive job market and college.
