Backpack Policy

Point Isabel ISD Implements Clear Backpack Policy for 2023-2024 School Year

Point Isabel ISD is implementing a new measure in its ongoing commitment to creating safer schools. Starting from the 2023-2024 school year, all students will be required to use clear backpacks. Alternatively, mesh backpacks will also be allowed, although clear ones are preferred. Students can carry a small, nonclear pouch within their backpacks to hold personal items like cellphones, money, and hygiene products.

It is important to note that the clear backpack policy alone does not guarantee complete security. This proactive measure is just one of several updates aimed at improving student and campus safety.
