What an incredible day for our Tarpons! 🌎
Today, juniors and seniors from Port Isabel Early College High School attended the UTRGV Global Economy Summit at the Mission Event Center, where they joined more than 200 students in an exciting Model UN–style competition. Students were placed into 40 groups of 5 representing countries from around the world, collaborating, and debating real global economic challenges.
We are incredibly proud to share that one of our three Port Isabel teams advanced as a FINALIST, representing Mexico among the top 8 countries selected! 🏆
Our students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking throughout the day. They truly represented Tarpon pride and our campus with excellence!
A huge thank you to Region One rootEd Alliance for making this amazing opportunity possible and for investing in experiences that empower our students to think globally and lead boldly.
Way to go, Tarpons! The future is bright!
