SB 12

2025-2026 Non-Emergency Services

Parents/Guardians,

During the 89th Texas Legislature Session, lawmakers passed Senate Bill 12, which requires schools to get annual parental consent before providing routine physical or mental health services. This includes services such as first aid, short-term counseling, or vision and hearing screening.

In accordance with Senate Bill 12 (SB12), 89th Texas Legislative Session, and in recognition of your right to direct your child’s medical and mental health care, we are requesting your consent for your child to receive non-emergency health services from the campus nurse, counselor, or other authorized school personnel during the 2025-2026 school year.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s campus.

2025-2026 Servicios que no son de emergencia

Padres/Tutores:

Notify the school immediately if your child is identified as a close contact, is awaiting test results, if they tested positive for COVID-19, or have symptoms of an communicable illness. This will assist the district in
determining your child’s Return-to-School Protocol.
