Congratulations to our 19 incredible Port Isabel ECHS students who represented us at the Area round competitionsโATSSB (4A and below) at Calallen High School and TMEA (5A/6A) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi!

A special shoutout to our All-State qualifiers who will perform with the best musicians in Texas at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention from February 12-15 in San Antonio:

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please be advised that due to the scheduled SpaceX launch on Monday, January 13, 2025, between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, school bus routes to South Padre Island and surrounding in-town areas may experience delays.
The increased traffic and road closures related to the launch may impact normal transportation schedules. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience during this time.

- Possible delays in afternoon bus drop-off times.
- Heavier traffic in areas near the launch site.
- Adjustments in transportation routes if necessary.
Please plan accordingly and feel free to contact the transportation department with any concerns.

The College & Career Readiness Department engaged in the Innovative Approaches to CTE staff development at the ITEC Center, where instructors and students highlighted programs of study, dual enrollment opportunities, and Level 1 certificates. Special thanks to Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. Plummer, and the entire Texas Southmost College team for this wonderful professional development opportunity for our CTE teachers and their continued partnership. Point Isabel ISD is committed to providing innovative, high-quality CTE programs that prepare students for success in college and career.

โจ Santa Claus is Coming to Point Isabel ISD! ๐
The Point Isabel ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Capistran are spreading holiday cheer early this year! Theyโve approved a $1,000 retention stipend for all employees who started before August 31, 2024, and a $250 stipend for those who joined after.
Today, Superintendent Capistran made the season extra special by personally hand-delivering these stipends to the hardworking Point Isabel ISD staff! ๐
