Today, we celebrate the rich culture, history, and traditions of Mexico with our Point Isabel ISD students and staff! 🎊
Point Isabel ISD and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley co-hosted the first Patriotism Alive! Workshop for campus representatives at Salon Cassia, UTRGV Brownsville campus. This workshop is part of the new Kids Voting district initiative, a partnership between Point Isabel ISD and UTRGV. The initiative is aimed at fostering civic engagement and inspiring future citizens to understand the importance of voting. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reinforce the values of freedom and civic duty.

They had the opportunity to meet and learn from talented actors, directors, producers, and cinematographers who work in the television and film industry. Let us reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of our nation. We come together in unity, offering our thoughts and prayers to those who were impacted, and we remain grateful for the strength that continues to define our country.

Point Isabel ISD is proud to celebrate 16 de septiembre, Mexican Independence Day! We encourage all students and staff to wear festive attire to honor this special day. Let's show our spirit and appreciation for Mexican culture and history!

Following a 4:30 PM National Weather Service Update, Tropical Storm Francine is expected to have a greater impact on the Laguna Madre area tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Due to this, all Point Isabel ISD schools and facilities will open at 10:15 AM.
Bus routes will begin at 10:00 AM, with a 4-hour delay from normal pick-up times.
i.e) If your normal pick-up time is 6:30 AM, tomorrow's pick-up time will be 10:30 AM.
Instructional time will begin at 11:00 AM.
Schools and facilities will not open until 10:15 AM.

A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for the Laguna Madre area. Due to the anticipated impact of Tropical Storm Francine, bus routes will be delayed by 1 hour.
Instructional hours will remain the same as:
Elementary Schools-7:40 AM, Junior High- 8:00 AM, High School- 8:05 AM
