🎉 Port Isabel Junior High Students Shine! 💙 Yesterday, our PIJH students attended the Region One GEAR UP Kickoff Celebration! Point Isabel ISD is proud to be one of only 14 school districts selected to receive the GEAR UP Grant. 🙌 Through this program, students will gain access to Dual Credit and AP opportunities, project-based learning, leadership development, tutoring, mentoring, and college & career exploration. Parents and educators will also receive training to support student readiness and success. 🎓 Partnering with seven higher education institutions, four community-based organizations, and 14 private sector collaborators, Region One GEAR UP will follow each student through their first year of college — providing ongoing counseling, advising, and tutoring for continued success. 💪
