Wear your favorite sports shirt, jersey, or workout gear—stay active and feel good!

🌈 Empathy Thursday – “Empathy Ties Us Together”
Wear tie-dye to represent the full range of emotions—it’s okay to feel them all.

🐟 Tarpon Family Friday – “Support Friends and Family”
Show your Tarpon pride by wearing spirit gear and supporting one another.

Point Isabel ISD is excited to celebrate all End-of-Year Activities! 🎉
To help ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone, a Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for all end of year activities and ceremonies.
🔹 Permitted: Clear bags only
🔹 Not Allowed: Non-transparent bags
We kindly ask all families and friends to plan accordingly and bring only clear bags to events.
Thank you for helping us keep our celebrations safe and enjoyable for all! 💙

Join us for our 2026 Tarpon Summer Camps, offering a variety of programs for students from PK through 12th grade! From academic support and bilingual enrichment to leadership, acceleration, and more—there’s something for every Tarpon.

📅 Programs run June 1 – June 25, 2026 (some through July 2)
📍 Locations include Derry Elementary, Garriga Elementary, PIJH, and PIECHS

📢 Point Isabel ISD New Student Registration

New student registration for the 2026–2027 school year will take place May 4–May 15, 2026 at all Point Isabel ISD campuses.

📝 Please have the following documents ready for in-person or online registration:
• Proof of residency
• Parent/guardian valid ID
• Birth certificate
• Immunization records
• Student Social Security card (if available)

ℹ️ Note: Returning students do not need to re-enroll. Parents will only need to verify/update contact information online.

At the April board meeting, Port Isabel Junior High School students were recognized for their selection in a nationwide writing contest!

These talented students earned publication in the National “Fright Club” Writing Competition, hosted by Young Writers. This prestigious honor highlights their creativity, originality, and engaging storytelling, with their work selected for inclusion in a national anthology.

We are proud of their outstanding achievement and representation of Port Isabel Junior High. Thank you to Ms. Elma Ruiz for her guidance and support!

At the April regular board meeting, we proudly recognized Port Isabel Junior High students for their outstanding achievements in Junior VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event), a Texas Art Education Association program celebrating creativity and artistic growth.

Congratulations to Katalayah Mota Reyes and Miranda Canales for earning a rating of 3, and to Elizabeth Hable, Mackie Mayfield, Kinley Pust, and Lorelei Hall for earning an impressive rating of 4 (Exemplary)!

A special recognition goes to Lorelei Hall, who achieved the highest honor with a Platinum rating—an award given to less than 10% of top entries statewide.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their creativity, technical skill, and ability to communicate their artistic process. Thank you to Mrs. Jamie Hall for her guidance and support!

Port Isabel Early College High School is proud to celebrate the success of our 2nd Annual College, Career & Military Symposium! 🎓✨

With over 40 organizations in attendance—including community partners, Military, Workforce Solutions, colleges and universities—our students had an incredible opportunity to explore their future pathways and make meaningful connections.

We also wrapped up the event on a high note with a delicious lunch prepared by our talented Culinary students—your hard work and hospitality truly impressed our guests! 👩‍🍳🍽️

Thank you to Region One rooted and everyone who helped make this event a success. Together, we are building brighter futures for our students!
